LACED created, designed, and developed the first ever mobile experience for Robert Bosch North America, laying the foundation and framework for future apps across Bosch department division groups.
Collaborating closely with Robert Bosch, North America CI Team, LACED designed, and developed a jQuery Mobile Touch App for Bosch Service, a division of Robert Bosch North America. The mobile site’s purpose was to provide users an “on-the-go” utility helping them locate their nearest Bosch Service center whenever maintenance issues arised. This functionality was created by leveraging the GPS feature of the mobile device to GEO locate the user and then match them to their nearest Bosch Service Center. The app seamlessly connects with Bosch Service’s SharePoint DB back-end to pull data to the mobile site. This means that if Bosch Service staff update various location centers in the SharePoint DB, the mobile site will automatically reflect these latest updates, and provide results via Google Maps API in the Mobile Touch App – without ever updating the mobile site it’s self! Add to that a mobile utility that works on just about every device and you have a real mobile solution.

He explains,”by building in jQuery mobile we were able to give a consistent experience across devices iOS, Android, BlackBerry, Windows Phone, palm webOS, symbian, MeeGo. LACED Agency delivered a user utilitiy that was truly device agnostic and a full solution for Bosch Service.”
Users will be excited to learn that the Bosch Service Mobile site is more than just a service center locator – it also provides users news, the latest offerings, coupons, and rebates for the brand – all from their mobile devices. Users will never again miss a deal, promotion, or a chance to save with the new mobile site providing them what they need, when they need it –all at their fingertips!
This is Bosch Service’s first step into mobile, as well as a history making month for Robert Bosch North America with their first successful mobile intiative roll-out.
